What does “spend less time on social media” mean?
What am I pledging to do?

It’s important that nobody’s excluded in this month-long pledge, and because everyone’s relationship with social media is unique, we’re leaving this definition up to YOU. The goal here is to challenge yourself, and you can do that one of three ways:

  1. You can go off all of your social media for the month

  2. You can choose specific apps that you'll completely stay off of

  3. You can set a daily limit on the amount of time you will spend on social media

What counts as social media?

Here’s a non-exhaustive list of social media platforms for your reference:

 

Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, Whatsapp, YouTube, Reddit, LinkedIn, Discord, Quora, Flipboard, and many more...

Do I have to pay to register? 

Nope! There is no fee associated with the campaign.

What is a Team Captain? 

We’ll clear the air... this doesn’t require more than a couple of minutes of work! Team Captains get to play a central role in bringing their friends and family closer together by organizing activities for their team. For more information, you can explore our friends and family team pages. 

What is the Social Reset?

Despite overwhelming evidence which has proven that social media is a mental health risk, there are no structured interventions that help people manage their social media usage.
